# ArtGuard > ArtGuard is anti-money-laundering buyer due diligence for UK art dealers and galleries: a secure link, the buyer’s identity evidence gathered on their own phone, sanctions and PEP screening, and a dated evidence file for the gallery. ## What it does - Sends the buyer a secure link; the buyer photographs a supported ID document on their own phone and takes a live selfie, which ArtGuard matches to the document photograph, with a fallback where a device or document is not supported. - Screens the buyer against the UK Sanctions List (OFSI/FCDO), OFAC and UN lists, checked for updates every day, and against the OpenSanctions PEP roster, refreshed every week. Every check records which list versions it ran against. - Flags anything doubtful for the gallery’s review rather than silently clearing it. - Keeps a dated evidence file per buyer, retained for five years under a retention lock, and company screening with beneficial-ownership capture for entity buyers. - Optional scheduled re-screening of returning collectors against sanctions and PEP lists. - £39 + VAT a month with 15 checks included, £2.50 + VAT for each one after, unlimited seats, first month free. ## What it does not do - It supports the gallery’s judgement and never replaces it. The decision to complete a sale, including any enhanced checks, stays with the gallery. - It does not run a source-of-funds workflow; where a buyer’s money comes from is a judgement for the dealer. - It is not a regulator and is not affiliated with HMRC. Registering with HMRC for AML supervision, the firm-wide risk assessment and the policies remain the gallery’s responsibility. - It does not share a gallery’s client details with another gallery or pool them into a network. ## Pages - Home: https://artguard.uk/ - Find a gallery: https://artguard.uk/galleries - Pricing: https://artguard.uk/#pricing - Resources (AML guides for art dealers and galleries, each quotation named to its source): https://artguard.uk/resources/ - The DVS register: what it is, who must use it, and what it means for a dealer’s identity check: https://artguard.uk/resources/dvs-register-art-dealers/ - What ArtGuard screens and records, and what it does not: https://artguard.uk/resources/what-artguard-screens-and-records/ - Geographic risk for dealers and galleries: the rules as they stand after 30 June 2026: https://artguard.uk/resources/geographic-risk-art-market-participants/ - Changelog (what changed in ArtGuard, month by month): https://artguard.uk/changelog/ ## Company Friam Ltd, trading as ArtGuard, part of the EveryGuard family (https://everyguard.uk).
